Five knives

A full set for every cut

The set holds an 8-inch chef knife for chopping and dicing, an 8-inch carving knife for roasts and ham, a 7-inch Santoku for vegetables and fish, a 4.8-inch Santoku for smaller prep, and a paring knife for peeling and trimming.
Each blade is 67 layers of Damascus steel around a VG10 core, hardened to 60±2 HRC so it holds its edge. The olive wood handles are shaped for a secure grip, and no two show the same grain.
Hand wash, dry right away, and store the knives in their magnetic box. Keep them out of the dishwasher, which dulls the edge and dries out the wood.
