What is a meaningful sympathy gift when flowers don't feel like enough?
Something that keeps the person present rather than marking the funeral. A heart or plaque with their name and years, a candle holder lit on birthdays and anniversaries, a portrait from a loved photograph. And consider timing: flowers crowd the first week, but a memorial gift that arrives a few weeks later — when the casseroles stop and the quiet sets in — often means the most.
I only have one photograph of them. Is that enough?
Almost always, yes. Send what you have — a single print, a scan, a phone photo of a framed picture — and our design team will treat it with care and show you honestly what it can become. A drawn portrait forgives age and fading; photo engraving needs a reasonably clear face. Nothing is made until you've seen and approved the preview.
Do you make memorial gifts for pets?
We do, and they're among the most heartfelt things that leave our workshop. Wooden hearts reading "You Left Paw Prints on Our Hearts," candle holders with the pet's name, portrait plaques drawn from a favorite photo. A pet's absence fills a house; a small piece with their name gives that feeling somewhere to rest.
What should the engraving say?
Simple carries best: their name, the years, and one short line. "Forever in Our Hearts," "Until We Meet Again," a phrase they actually said, or a line from something they loved. If you're unsure, order with what you have — the free preview is a natural moment to read it in place and adjust, and we're glad to help with wording.
Can I send a memorial gift directly to a grieving friend?
Yes — this is most of what we do in this collection. Add their address, write your message, and choose a sympathy card design; we pack everything gently, with your words inside and never a price or invoice in the box. If you'd like it to arrive on a particular date — after the service, before the first anniversary — tell us and we'll time it.
