Olive Wood Charcuterie Set with Marble, Ceramic Bowls, and Spoon

WHY THESE BOARDS

The board is part of the presentation

A charcuterie spread is half arrangement, half stage — and the stage matters. Olive wood brings the drama: Mediterranean grain, warm figure, boards from handled 15" servers up to the extra-large 24"–48" table centerpiece. The sets handle logistics: bamboo cheese boards with a drawer of serving knives built in, trays with ceramic bowls for olives and dips, marble-inlay sets that keep cheese cool where it sits. Everything arrives pre-oiled and food-safe, so it goes from box to buffet the same evening. Hosting is the theme here — if the board is a gift and you want their name on it, personalized charcuterie boards run the same craft with engraving.

QUESTIONS

Charcuterie & cheese boards, answered

Count the grazers. A 12–15" board serves 2–4 as an appetizer; an 18–21" board feeds a small gathering of 6–8; and for parties where the board is the table's centerpiece, our extra-large olive wood boards run 24" to 48" and feed a crowd. When in doubt, size up — empty board space is an invitation, a crowded board is a queue.

Mostly ambition. A cheese board is the classic trio-of-cheeses format — smaller, often paired with dedicated knives. A charcuterie board goes wide: meats, cheeses, fruit, crackers, the whole landscape, so the boards run longer and larger. In practice the boards are interchangeable; the sets differ — cheese sets bring knives and bowls, charcuterie boards bring acreage.

Both — they're solid wood, not veneer. The flat boards take real knife work; the pieces with bowls, drawers, or marble inlays are best kept to serving duty. One habit worth keeping: if a board does double shifts, cut on one face and serve on the other, so the presentation side stays flawless.

Several do. The bamboo cheese sets hide a slide-out drawer holding the full serving-knife kit; tray sets add ceramic bowls for olives, nuts, and dips; and the marble-and-olive-wood set pairs the wood with a cool stone surface plus spoons. Each product page lists exactly what's in the set — no assembling a kit from three orders.

Olive wood is the entertainer's pick — every board carries different grain, so the empty board is already interesting before the first cheese lands. Bamboo is the practical pick for sets and easy care. If the board will mostly cut rather than serve, start at our wooden cutting boards instead and pick by working properties.

Want a name on it?

These same boards engrave beautifully — a family name across the olive wood, an est. date for the couple who hosts. See the personalized charcuterie collection, previewed free before we engrave.
