WHY HEARTS
The shape that says it for you
A heart is the one shape that needs no caption — which is exactly why engraving one lands so hard. The romantic side of this collection carries initials and dates: the Mr. & Mrs. hearts with the arrow through them, the couple's bark-edged keepsake, "Our Story" and wedding-memory designs for anniversaries and engagements. The quiet side holds space for loss — "Forever in Our Hearts," paw prints for a pet, a name and years — and belongs to our memorial collection, where those pieces are gathered with care. In between: hearts with inspirational lines, the plain handmade hearts that say enough unengraved, yin-yang bark hearts, and heart keychains for love that commutes. Most stand on wooden or metal bases; all of them outlast the flowers.
Wooden hearts, answered
What occasions suit a wooden heart?
Nearly every one where love is the subject: weddings and engagements (initials and the date), anniversaries (especially the 5th — wood's own year), Valentine's Day, and remembrance. The unengraved hearts work as simple decor and small I-love-you gestures; the engraved ones mark the milestones. If it would go in a card, it can go on a heart.
What should the engraving say?
The formulas that never miss: two sets of initials with the date; first names with "est."; a single short line ("I love you," a lyric, an inside phrase). Hearts reward brevity — the shape is already doing half the talking. You'll see your exact wording in the free preview before we engrave, and we're glad to help you land it.
What's the difference between the heart styles?
Character, mostly. The bark-edged hearts keep the tree's raw edge on the curve — rustic and one-of-one. The smooth 3D hearts are clean and modern, palm-fitting, quietly sculptural. The arrow hearts add the classic pierced silhouette for couples; stands (wood block or metal) turn any of them into shelf pieces. Same wood honesty across all of them: real grain, no two alike.
Do you make memorial hearts?
We do — hearts for the loss of a person or a pet are among the most meaningful pieces we engrave, with lines like "Forever in Our Hearts" and paw-print designs. They're gathered in our memorial gifts collection, written and organized with the care that moment deserves; if you're choosing one for someone grieving, talk to us and we'll help gently.
Can a heart be part of a bigger gift?
Naturally — a heart is the classic anchor for a gift box: pair it with a candle, chocolate, and a card in your words, and the single keepsake becomes a whole moment. Several of our curated boxes are built exactly that way, heart at the center.
Have something specific in mind?
Your vows around the heart's edge, the song lyric only you two know, initials in your own handwriting — we make heart projects like this all the time. Talk to us and we'll tell you in minutes if we can do it (we usually can).
