WHY THESE HOLDERS
The flame is half of it
Candlelight through wood is a different kind of light — warmer, older, more like a hearth than a fixture — and this collection plays that note across every style. The olive wood line runs from a single tealight up the live edge bar holders for 3, 5, and 7 flames — one-piece, bark-edged, tealights included, personalizable along the length. The log holders wrap real bark around a glowing carved scene: a tree, a wildlife silhouette, a winter forest. The angel holders — bark-bodied, scroll-winged — carry a tealight through the holidays and beyond, with an engravable back for a name. And the personalized cutouts hold a flame beside a name or even a pet's face, which is why so many of these serve as remembrance lights — those pieces live with care in our memorial collection. Every holder ships with its tealights, ready to glow tonight.
Wooden candle holders, answered
Are wooden candle holders safe?
Yes, used as designed: every holder seats a standard tealight in a proper recess or metal cup, keeping the flame contained and away from the wood. Follow ordinary candle sense — level surface, never unattended, snuff don't blow — and swap in LED tealights anywhere you want the glow without the flame (they fit identically and flatter the carved scenes beautifully).
Do candles come included?
They do — every holder ships with its tealights, so it's giftable and lightable straight from the box. Refills are standard-size tealights from any store; nothing proprietary, nothing to hunt down.
Which holder for which mood?
The live edge olive bars (1 to 7 flames) are the table pieces — dinner parties, mantels, the long centerpiece. The bark log holders with carved scenes are the cozy corner: one flame turning a tree or wildlife silhouette into a tiny lantern. The angels carry the holidays and the tender occasions. And the multi-flame bars personalize with a name along the wood — anniversary centerpieces are a favorite.
Can a candle holder be personalized?
Several ways: a name or date engraved along the live edge bars, a name or phrase on the angel's back, and the cutout holders that pair the flame with a name — or a pet's portrait engraved from your photo. A candle with their name on it reads ceremonial in the best way; for remembrance versions, our memorial gifts page gathers them gently.
Are these Christmas decor or year-round?
The nativity and winter-scene holders belong to December — see the nativity collection for the full crèche pieces — but the olive bars, tree scenes, and personalized holders burn year-round. Candlelight has no season; the holders just change costume.
