WHY WOODEN DECOR
Decor that used to be a forest
Most home decor is manufactured; this collection is carved — from European wood used whole, trunk, branches, and bark together, which is why an owl figurine wears real bark feathers and a heart keeps the tree's edge on its curve. That whole-tree approach means every piece comes out different: the grain, the bark pattern, the exact shape are the tree's signature, not a factory's. And nearly everything personalizes — a name on a sign, initials on a heart, your family drawn from a photo and framed, a name engraved on a piggy bank's hindquarters (a house favorite). From nursery signs to memorial candles to the Christmas mantel, this is decor with a pulse of the woods still in it.
Wooden decor, answered
Why does the bark stay on some pieces?
Because it's the best part. The bark is the tree's own texture — no finish can fake it — and leaving it on the owls, hearts, candle holders, and nativity scenes keeps each piece visibly from the forest. It's well-adhered and part of the design: treat it like the rest of the wood (dust it, keep it dry) and it stays beautiful for decades.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
It'll look like its tree. Because these are carved from real wood with natural bark, grain and pattern vary from piece to piece — the same design, never the same wood. That variation is the point: your owl, heart, or nativity scene is a one-of-one, not unit 4,000 of a production run.
Which pieces can be personalized?
Most of them. Signs and plaques take names, dates, and phrases; hearts engrave with initials and messages; candle holders take names or even a pet's face; angels and piggy banks engrave on the back; and the portraits are personal by definition — drawn from your photo. If a product page doesn't show the option, message us; odds are we can add it.
Is wooden decor a good gift?
It's the giftable end of the whole shop — small enough to ship anywhere, personal enough to mean something, priced from stocking-stuffer to statement. Hearts for anniversaries, signs for new homes and nurseries, angels and candles for remembrance and holidays — and any piece can anchor a gift box with chocolate, a candle, and your card.
How do I care for wooden decor pieces?
Barely at all — that's decor's advantage over kitchenware. Dust them, keep them out of standing water and harsh direct sun, and they'll outlast the shelf they sit on. No oiling schedule needed for display pieces; the candle holders just ask you to keep flames in their tealight cups.
