Common questions before applying
Who gets approved?
Creators, writers, and professionals whose audience overlaps with gift buyers — food, home, lifestyle, weddings, real estate. You don’t need a huge following; 1,000 engaged readers with the right fit is enough. We don’t approve coupon or deal sites, cashback apps, or anyone bidding on our brand name in paid search.
Can I use my own link to buy gifts for my clients or team?
No. Self-referrals and orders for your own business are reversed. The affiliate program pays for traffic you send us; if you’re buying gifts, the corporate program and brokerage program give you real discounts instead.
How long is the cookie?
30 days on the Standard tier, 60 days on Featured and Partner. If someone clicks your link and orders within that window, the commission is yours, even if they didn’t buy on the first visit.
When and how do I get paid?
Monthly, by PayPal, within the first five business days of the month, once the 30-day return window on those orders has closed. Orders from September are paid at the start of November. There’s no minimum payout — you see commissions in your dashboard the day the order is placed.
Do you provide content or do I make my own?
Both. You get product photos, banners, copy templates, and seasonal gift guides in your dashboard. Most affiliates do best using ours as a starting point and creating content in their own voice.
Can I promote on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube?
Yes — social is one of our best channels. Disclose the relationship per FTC rules (#ad, #affiliate, or “I earn a commission if you buy through my link”). Beyond that, the content is yours.
Can I run paid ads to my link?
Yes on Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, and display. No bidding on “Forest Decor” or variations in search ads, ever. If you have a paid strategy, mention it in your application and we’ll confirm what’s allowed.
What if a customer returns their order?
The commission is reversed. That’s why payouts wait for the return window to close; after that, what’s paid is yours.
