An engraved olive wood board for one good cheese, and three knives to go with it
The board is a 7 × 5 inch piece of live edge olive wood — the size for one good cheese, a few slices of something cured and a handful of crackers, which is a Tuesday night or the first hour of a party. It’s engraved with a surname or a first name in the flat field, and three cheese knives with olive handles lie alongside it; there’s no block in this box, which is part of why it’s the price it is. Small as it is, it’s the same wood as our big boards: closed-grained, slow to show a knife, and it doesn’t keep the smell of what’s been on it. It’s the entry point to our charcuterie boxes — the one to send to a hostess, a new neighbor, or anyone you’d rather give something made than something bought.

Every board, heart and figurine in a curated box is cut, engraved and oiled in our own workshop by a team of ten. We send a digital preview before anything is cut and pack each box by hand the day it ships. The rest — the coffee, the chocolate, the candle — comes from makers we've chosen ourselves: small local producers, many of them a short drive away, and brands built around a mission we believe in.
