Christmas, cut from bark-edged wood
Three pieces from our Salt Lake City workshop, each cut from wood with the bark left on. The nativity is six inches tall and five long, with bark along the edge — small enough for a mantel or a side table, and the piece a family brings out every December. The moose is five inches of bark-edged wood with a red ribbon at the neck, the one the kids line up beside it. The ornament is a round slice with a reindeer cut clean through, so the tree lights shine through it, and it goes on the tree the day the box arrives. Around them, a jar of Hollow Tree wildflower honey and a Thymes Frasier Fir candle that smells like the tree lot.
