Everything in this box lives on the counter: six olive wood utensils, twelve inches each — a round spoon, a corner spoon, a spatula, a slotted spatula, a risotto spoon and a ladle — engraved along the handle and standing in a four-inch holder with the couple’s names or the name of the kitchen on the front. Around them, a mortar and pestle, two small dipping bowls, a pair of honey dippers and a set of coasters, all olive. Olive doesn’t absorb odors, which is why it’s the wood for tools that touch food every day, and nothing here is finished with anything but food-safe mineral oil. Every board, heart and figurine in a curated box is cut, engraved and oiled in our own workshop by a team of ten. We send a digital preview before anything is cut and pack each box by hand the day it ships. The rest — the coffee, the chocolate, the candle — comes from makers we've chosen ourselves: small local producers, many of them a short drive away, and brands built around a mission we believe in.
